ReceiptVault Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
Local-first design
ReceiptVault is designed as a local-first receipt and warranty vault. Receipt photos, merchant names, purchase dates, amounts, notes, warranty information, and optional location notes are stored on the user's device.
If the user enables iCloud, data may sync through the user's private iCloud account. ReceiptVault does not operate its own server for collecting receipt content.
Data used by the app
- User content, including receipt photos, OCR text, notes, categories, and warranty records.
- Optional location information, only when the user chooses to save current location information.
- Purchase information required by Apple's in-app purchase system to unlock subscription features.
- Diagnostics provided by Apple, such as crash reports or performance data, if available.
OCR and private content
ReceiptVault performs OCR on device. Receipt images and recognized receipt text are not uploaded to our own servers for processing.
Tracking and advertising
ReceiptVault does not sell user data and does not use receipt content for third-party tracking.
